The Seattle Weekly made an excerpt from my book the cover story this week! Yippee!!!! Sadly, that's not the photo they used on the cover, just on the inside. Due to technical incompetence on my part, I can't seem to get a screen grab of the cover, but I hear it looks amazing. Anyway, the excerpt includes funny interviews with my friends Kurt B. Reighley and Dave Burton, and also with porn goddess Tera Patrick and therapist Rob Dobrenski.
The book comes out on January 10th. I am extremely excited, but also, oddly enough, a little nervous. About what, I'm not quite sure. I've certainly gotten enough hate mail over the years to toughen me up and once you have a couple death threats under your belt, who cares if some smarty pants somewhere thinks I suck?
One of the main things I worry about is that I left some important people out of the extensive thank-you list. It's to the point where I can't even look at those pages because I'm afraid I'll realize I completely spaced on someone very important to me, yet I know for certain that I thanked my cats. Acknowledgments are a really silly part of any book, but as I'm never going to win an Oscar (well, probably not) and who knows if I'll ever get another book published, they're the only way I have to thank everyone who's been so kind and generous to me over the years.
Jesus Christ, I'm a sap. I must be getting my period.
